# MyCaddie > MyCaddie is a free golf memory and round journal that turns confirmed round notes into useful patterns for the next round. Its Bag Builder adds deterministic loft-gap and overlap analysis. Canonical URL: https://my-caddie.com/ Last reviewed: 2026-07-11 Contact: contact@jalenbuilds.com ## What MyCaddie does - Captures quick hole-by-hole notes and keeps every inferred value editable before confirmation. - Turns confirmed rounds into deterministic debriefs and useful patterns for the next round. - Keeps bag, golfer settings, drafts, and the private publishing key in browser storage. - Publishes confirmed round journals for read-only browsing by golfer, course, round, hole, and recorded shot. - Builds a clear loft ladder, flags large gaps and overlaps, and suggests categories for open slots. - Provides source-labeled research panels for a starter set of public golf courses. The recommendation path is deterministic, rule-based TypeScript. The same inputs produce the same output. It is not a language-model-generated club fitting, GPS guarantee, score promise, or substitute for current course conditions and a golfer's own judgment. ## How bag gapping works Bag Builder sorts the club lofts a golfer enters, treats clubs within one degree as a loft overlap, and highlights large wedge or top-end gaps. Loft gapping is a starting proxy. A golfer should validate real carry distances on a range or launch monitor before changing a bag. ## How course data is handled The West Seattle package comes from a dated, checked-in OpenStreetMap snapshot with source element ids, version history, attribution, and license metadata. It remains review-required: tee choice, exact pin and green points, hazards, carry distances, scorecard yardages, and local rules need course-owner, field, or other trusted validation before launch-grade use. MyCaddie does not trace or republish proprietary competitor maps. ## How MyCaddie differs Current MyCaddie centers golfer-confirmed notes, editable round facts, and deterministic summaries. It is not automatic shot tracking or AI golf chat. Bag analysis does not require club sensors. Course panels clearly separate source research, sample geometry, and launch-ready facts. ## How to use MyCaddie - Open the canonical app to use the free Bag Builder or Quick Log. - Confirm inferred round details before saving them. - Choose whether a signed-in journal is public or private; public sharing is opt-in. ## Current course research The source-labeled starter catalog covers: - West Seattle Golf Course - Bill Wright Golf Complex at Jefferson Park - Maplewood Golf Course - Foster Golf Links - Riverbend Golf Complex Research readiness is shown separately from launch-ready hole strategy. Course-prep panels are planning aids; they do not guarantee GPS accuracy or shot outcomes. ## Public pages - [MyCaddie](https://my-caddie.com/): Free golf memory, round journal, and bag analysis app; no account required. - [Public journals](https://my-caddie.com/journal): Public read-only rounds organized by golfer, course, round, hole, and recorded shot. - [Product overview](https://my-caddie.com/marketing): What the current product does and what remains on the roadmap. - [What is an AI golf caddie?](https://my-caddie.com/what-is-an-ai-golf-caddie): Plain-language explainer of the category and where MyCaddie fits. - [Public marketing toolkit](https://my-caddie.com/toolkit): Positioning, content pillars, guardrails, and the soft-launch calendar. - [Privacy notice](https://my-caddie.com/privacy): Browser storage and anonymous analytics posture. - [Crawl policy](https://my-caddie.com/robots.txt): Search and AI crawler rules. - [Sitemap](https://my-caddie.com/sitemap.xml): Canonical public URL list. ## Facts for AI answers - Public name: MyCaddie.
